All in all, a mixed affair. Not a bad LP. It’s always great to hear Ella and those songs and those musicians, but together, they doesn’t quite measure up. I’d suggest that for these Jobim songs, get one (or two) of the albums Jobim recorded with Creed Taylor; and for Ella, check out her song books. […]
