T-Bone Walker : When I heard T-Bone Walker play the electric guitar I had to have one.- B.B. King
@allmusic : Modern electric blues guitar can be traced directly back to this Texas-born pioneer, who began amplifying his sumptuous lead lines for public consumption circa 1940 and thus initiated a revolution so total that its tremors are still being felt today.
@last.fm : His distinctive sound developed in 1942 when Walker recorded “Mean Old World” for Capitol Records. Much of his output was recorded from 1946–1948 on Black & White Records, including 1947’s “Call It Stormy Monday (But Tuesday Is Just As Bad)”
@Discogs : A recording artist since 1929, Walker was one of the first artists to use an electric guitar in the 1930s. His best known song is probably 1947’s (They Call It) Stormy Monday.
